Pitt Releases Incoming Class for 2011Sep. 22, 2010 The University of Pittsburgh men’s lacrosse program welcomes 17 new players to the program including 2 juniors, 1 sophomore, and 14 freshmen. One of the new Junior players is midfielder Patrick Bursch, a transfer student from nearby NCAA Division III Saint Vincent College. “It is always a huge bonus to inherit a player with experience from a varsity program. The coaches have already noted his field presence and abilities, and hope that his experience rubs off on some of his teammates.” Other early fall standouts have been freshman Alex Powell from Webster, NY on attack and fellow freshman defender Max Carlson out of Baltimore, MD. The Panthers are glad to welcome all the players listed below. They will add much needed depth to the roster as all positions are represented. Players hail from Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, and New Hampshire.
