Former Captain Andrew Stypula Joins Pitt Coaching Staff

Former University of Pittsburgh Lacrosse standout and Team Captain, Andrew Stypula has joined the University of Pittsburgh Lacrosse coaching staff for the 2011 season. Stypula is a recent graduate of Pitt, receiving a bachelor of science degree in economics and a minor in chemistry, and looking to apply for medical school this spring to puruse a MD degree.

Andrew played two years at the United States Air Force Academy (NCAA Div I) before transferring to The University of Pittsburgh in 2008. He was a member of the Pitt Lacrosse team for the 2009 and 2010 seasons, and was voted to the All-CCLA team at the completion of his senior year.

Stypula joins a strong coaching staff, looking to help build the Pitt lacrosse team into a title contenter in the near future.
