PITT Lacrosse Travels to OVU for First Games of the FallSep. 29, 2011 This weekend, the PITT Men's Lacrosse team travels to Vienna, West Virginia for the first action of the fall season as the Panthers line up a double header between NCAA Division 2 Ohio Valley University, and the Post-Collegiate Lizards Lacrosse Club based out of Morgantown, West Virginia. The Ohio Valley Fighting Scots are entering their second season in the NCAA Division 2 as OVU recently added varsity lacrosse for the 2010 season. The Fighting Scots are coming off a 1-4 season and are looking to keep building their program under the helm of second year head coach Carl Anderson. Coach Anderson founded the club program at OVU in the fall of 2005, and guided the Scots for four and a half years before being names head coach of the newly inaugurated NCAA Division 2 program in 2010. This will be a rare meeting between the Morgantown Lizards and the PITT Panthers, as no meeting or previous games have been formally documented. Many of the members of the current roster played against and even with members of the Morgantown team at the Robert Morris University Summer League, and are eager to play against these guys again this weekend. HAIL TO PITT!
